Real-Time Settings

This feature gives access to various Flight Simulator settings that you can normally change through the pull-down menus and dialogs. The interest of this feature is that you can change everything dynamically, which means it does not freeze the flight simulator animation.

The Real-Time Settings window can be popped up using the fs9 Toolbox menu or, more interesting for dynamicity, by pressing the associated key (Ctrl-T by default, configurable). It appears like this:

The window looks and acts exactly like the FS2004 window used for the ATC: it is semi-transparent, it can be moved and resized and pressing a digit key triggers the corresponding action.

The available settings are the following:

• View Settings
• See aircraft from panel (on/off)
• Increase/Decrease scenery complexity
• Axis indicator
• Spot view gradual transition (on/off)
• Increase/decrease spot distance
• Realism Settings
• Unlimited fuel (on/off)
• Indicate true airspeed (on/off)
• Auto-coordination (on/off)
• Realistic mixture (on/off)
• Aicraft stress damage (on/off)
• G Effects (on/off)
• Gyro drift (on/off)
• Manual Lighting (on/off)
• Crash Detection (on/off)

Being able to change some of these settings dynamically, without stopping FS, will change your flight experience.
