EasyFMC - The Future
EasyFMC Future is in Your Hands...
EasyFMC may evolve in the future if you want it to. Evolutions can be conducted in several ways:
- By adding new look-and-feels:
As it is shown with the look-and-feels available today, the most important features are common. Nevertheless, the realism of the FMC is increased if the user interface as the same appearance as its real life counterpart and if some specific features are handled, if they exist. If you want to have a new look-and-feel developed, this is possible if you can provide the image that is used as a background and if you can explain the specific features, if any.
- By interfacing with navigation databases:
In order to keep it simple, EasyFMC has been designed to use the existing GPS database that every user has within FS2004 or FSX. This is convenient because you don’t need to install and maintain a navigation database. The drawback is that the GPS information is not up to date. If you have some advanced add-on, such as PMDG, Level-D or Wilco, you may have a better navigation database. You may even be one of those virtual pilots who constantly update their navigation database to follow the AIRAC cycles (i.e. Navigraph). In this case, you may want to have EasyFMC using this database instead of the GPS information to generate an FS flight plan that the aircraft can automatically fly using the GPS guidance. This is possible but it requires some development work, which is why I will do it only if a significant number of people show interest in this evolution. As a former developer for Wilco, doing this evolution for the Wilco navigation database is easier for me. I can do it for other database formats but it would take more time. - By adding new features:
Some new features may be added, such as engine management (automatically set appropriate power according to the phase of the flight, the aircraft weight, altitude, ...), vertical navigation (predict waypoint crossing altitude, top of climb, top of descent, ...), fuel management (predict fuel quantity at each waypoint and at destination), and maybe some others. This would make EasyFMC more complex but this kind of feature may be important to some of you.
In other words, the future of EasyFMC is in your hands. If you
have
any interest in these possible evolutions, YOU have to let me know by

I will work on them only if some users show interest.
I would like to add that any customer who buys the product today will not have to pay
anything more to get a newer version that would be released later.
